Retrofitting your buildings lighting system can be one relatively quick and easy way to reduce your energy expenses. However, there are several factors that must be considered in any lighting retrofit. The efficiency, brightness, and even the lighting coverage area can vary significantly depending on the type of light and light fixture you select. Simply replacing your existing lights with new units on a one-for-one basis may lead to even greater inefficiency, more light than you really need, or worse - not enough light.
